This research delves into the challenging topic of forensic accounting in financial institutions, attempting to shed light on the issues they confront and their present levels of understanding. The study looked at challenges and awareness and tested the results using statistical tools such as SPSS. Tests were used to establish the significance of hypotheses about the variations in the obstacles faced by different types of financial institutions in forensic accounting, as well as their degrees of knowledge. The data acquired was primary data, with a sample size of 101 respondents. The study's findings found that the vast majority of respondents adopted forensic accounting in their organizations, with 96% using it. The fundamental goals of forensic accounting were to predict financial crises, control risks, and present investment opportunities to customers. Crime prevention was the primary reason for selecting forensic accounting, with money theft being the most common kind of crime examined. The majority of respondents have undergone forensic accounting training or instruction, with some employing software such as DocuClipper.
