If decision makers are not engaged in operational improvement efforts, they can impact progress in accomplishing organizational goals. This chapter discusses some general aspects of multiple criteria decision making and group decision making that can be used to integrate decision makers into the overall decision process. Additionally, recommendations for easy to use and easy to understand methods that can be employed are made. The field of decision making, and decision science is vast, so this chapter is only intended as a brief introduction and to include practical methods that are useful in the context of quantitative decision making.
