Holistic View to Identify the Right Problem
摘要
This chapter starts the problem exploration process by discussing the need to gain a holistic view of your operating environment and engage decision makers. Developing a high-level business process model is a starting point. Additionally, asking the right operational questions can lead you to better understanding the issues that your organization faces and the key operational parameters that you should seek to optimize. An example of a bottom-up decision-making process describes potential decision-making complexity. Additionally, resistance to process improvements are discussed to highlight difficulties you may encounter when attempting to make change to improve your organization’s operations.
