The neuroendovascular field has exponential growth potential and consists of an environment where technology, adaptation of operators, and treatment indications change at a fast-paced rhythm. From its initial steps within a few centers when pioneers such as Leo N. Hopkins in the US and French groups faced discouragement to present day with widespread adoption and need for neuroendovascular centers and hybrid professionals, this field has changed drastically. Such evolution has both benefits and challenges for practitioners, such as the need to be facile in acquiring new skill sets and ever keen on incorporating new treatments in the constantly changing field. In this chapter, we briefly discuss examples of new procedures, the training of new neuroendovascular practitioners, and the challenges associated with the rapid evolution of the cerebrovascular field.
