For a broader perspective on the evolution of the BioMedVis field, we contacted more than 50 researchers of mixed seniority and expertise, both from industry and academia and from all around the world. The intention was to have an overview of the status of the domain—not only from the point of published literature but also from the people forming the field. We asked the participants to answer several questions regarding the past evolution of the BioMedVis field, its significance and achievements, as well as questions about the current status, trends, and future challenges. This chapter presents the collected answers in written form from 16 participants.
