This chapter reviews intraoperative complications of prolapse surgery as well as long-term prolapse surgery complications and management. We will discuss the complications associated with each modality of pelvic reconstructive surgery including vaginal, robotic/laparoscopic, and abdominal approaches. We will also review updated literature on prolapse recurrence, mesh complications, and long-term adverse sequelae of prolapse repair.
