The concept of circular economy promotes the reuse of resources in a closed-loop system rather than the traditional linear model of extraction, use, and disposal. At the core of circular economy are ten different retention options. Their function is to retain resources and prolong the use cycle of products and components. The objective of this study is to investigate the implementation and impact of circular economy within various industries. The study addresses critical questions: What is the extent of adoption of circular economy in industries and how does it influence business performance, including profitability, company image, and manufacturing costs? A key part of the research is to identify the predominant drivers and enablers of circular economy adoption and their relationship to ten individual retention options, as well as the factors motivating their future implementation. The results are based on a large-scale survey conducted with 512 participants. The findings of this study provide data-based insights into current trends, drivers, and enabler associated with the ten retention options.

摘要
