Currently, Repurpose is a retention option with limited successful industrial examples. It necessitates the development of a new ecosystem, a process that is inherently complex and time-consuming. Its broad application in the economic sphere is still in its infancy. Despite this, a selection of examples are presented, providing clarity on the concept’s practical aspects. Two cases are then discussed in more depth, namely reWood, which has made Repurpose its core business model, and FREITAG, which stands out as a paragon, successfully translating the Repurpose ethos into economic viability.
