摘要
This study investigated the awareness levels and behaviors of University students’ regarding the use of water resources. The study participants were students studying at the Faculty of Education. To determine the quantitative dimension of the study, a scale titled “Water Resource Awareness and Behaviors of University Students’” was developed. The scale consists of a total of 31 items and measures two dimensions: awareness and behavior. For the qualitative dimension, semi-structured interviews were conducted. The awareness and behavior dimensions were examined in detail according to the variables of gender, age, and environmental interest level. The findings showed that there were no significant differences in the awareness and behavior levels of the students according to the gender variable. However, significant differences were found according to the age and environmental interest level variables. The research findings provide an important contribution to the understanding of the factors that influence awareness and behaviors regarding the use of water resources.
