The article explores different aspects of the internal and international regulation of foreign investments in several non-recognized States and analyzes whether and to which extent they are integrated in the international legal framework on foreign investments. The article addresses different issues of foreign investment regulation, e.g. such as participation in international investment agreements, ways of participation in investor-to-state dispute settlement mechanisms, and enforcement of awards rendered by international investment tribunals.
