Corneal Visualization Scheimpflug Technology CORVIS ST
摘要
This chapter is not intended to be a handbook nor can it present all the diagnostic features provided by the Corvis ST® (Oculus, Wetzlar, Germany)—for this, we recommend the use of the software which provides explanations when clicking on the yellow flag in the lower right of each field or the recently published interpretation guide provided by the manufacturer. The Corvis ST® is a pneumotonometer that analyzes the biomechanical characteristics of the human corneaCornea and differentiates between (1) healthy versus ectatic corneasCornea, (2) normal corneasCornea versus keratectasiaKeratectasia after keratorefractive surgery and (3) healthy eyesEye versus normal tension glaucoma. Additionally, it provides the biomechanical E-StagingStaging as a supplement to the tomographic ABCD keratectasiaKeratectasia stagingStaging system, thus enabling a biomechanical stagingStaging, monitoring and progression assessment for keratectasiaKeratectasia.
