Leapfrog Opportunities and Digitalization in Empowering Economic Development of Women
摘要
Economic empowerment of women is becoming more widely acknowledged as a means of achieving economic growth, poverty alleviation, women’s rights, and other development objectives related to welfare, health, and education. When employment in the agricultural sector is stagnant, micro enterprises play a critical role in uplifting the economic status of women by giving highly qualified and less qualified women jobs that contribute to their overall development and help them realize their inherent capacity to work in the non-agricultural sector. Since women make up over half of India's population, it stands to reason that women's empowerment and development go hand in hand. Leapfrogging is a development paradigm that has gained popularity recently in relation to sustainable development for underdeveloped countries. It advocates quickening growth by favouring better developed sectors and technologies over less established, less efficient, more expensive, or more polluting ones. The present study primarily looks at how leapfrog opportunities affect digital transformation, digitalization, and social networks. The variables taken into consideration in the study include leapfrog opportunities, digital literacy, social networks, digital transformation, digitalization, as well as economic empowerment of women.
