A Critical Examination of Multi-criteria Decision-Making in Software Engineering
摘要
Multi-Criteria Decision-Making (MCDM) plays a pivotal role in the field of computer science and software engineering, offering a systematic approach to decision-making processes. The integration of various MCDM methods such as the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP), Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS), and Fuzzy Multi-Criteria Decision-Making Process has been increasingly prevalent in addressing complex decision-making problems. Academic research on MCDM in software engineering has increased extensively over the past few years. Many Multi-Criteria Decision-Making methods have been proposed to evaluate and examine the effectiveness of MCDM in software engineering. This chapter investigates the crucial factor of MCDM in choosing an appropriate software and discusses the effective factor in failure projects.
