In this section, the main critical CHD presenting in neonatal period will be discussed: ductal dependant systemic lesions (coarctation of aorta, critical aortic stenosis, hypoplastic left heart syndrome), duct dependant pulmonary lesions (critical pulmonary stenosis, pulmonary atresia with intact ventricular septum, tetralogy of Fallot) and common mixing lesions (transposition of great arteries, total anomalous pulmonary venous connection).
