3D design is an intricate and demanding process that calls for a well-developed spatial perception on the part of the designer. Although some of the operations associated with volume manipulation have their origins in simpler 2D operations, others are specific to 3D design. By deftly employing a set of 2D sketches and 3D operations that add or subtract volume, it is possible to approximate a 3D model gradually. Building on the aforementioned, this chapter delves into the extensive range of 3D operations available on the Computer Assisted Design (CAD) software “Fusion 360.” To enhance comprehension and facilitate the creation of future 3D models, several examples, tips, or informative guidelines are added to each operation. Finally, a multi-component example that employs several of the presented operations is assembled at the end of the chapter. This last example enables designers to gain insights into constructing complex designs, such as those of brushless motors.

摘要
