摘要
The enforcement of the dropped object prevention programme in the maritime and offshore industry presents a set of unique challenges. Moreover, it is not without concern that personnel may not use the correct procedures to perform onboard tasks that require its use. Reasons for not carrying out the mandated procedures correctly include a poor safety culture, lack of commitment from onboard management, lack of training, lack of oversight and commitment by shoreside management, complacency, and so forth.
