Cardiac CT is a robust technology for the non-invasive assessment for a spectrum of cardiovascular disorders—not simply limited to stenoses in the coronary tree. This image modality can identify stenoses in native arteries and grafts, structural cardiac abnormalities inclusive of chamber dilation and congenital cardiac disorders, valvular abnormalities, cardiac masses, as well as non-cardiac mediastinal structures. A systematic approach to evaluation of a coronary CT is necessary, and outlined in this chapter.

摘要

Cardiac CT is a robust technology for the non-invasive assessment for a spectrum of cardiovascular disorders—not simply limited to stenoses in the coronary tree. This image modality can identify stenoses in native arteries and grafts, structural cardiac abnormalities inclusive of chamber dilation and congenital cardiac disorders, valvular abnormalities, cardiac masses, as well as non-cardiac mediastinal structures. A systematic approach to evaluation of a coronary CT is necessary, and outlined in this chapter.
