This chapter explores the challenge that global brands face when designing their spaces around the world and the lack of localization methods currently being practiced. Global brands often face a challenge when it comes to designing their spaces around the world as different cultures have varying preferences for design and aesthetics. In recent times, there has been a lack of ways being practiced by global brands when localizing their spaces. This chapter aims to fill this gap by analyzing grey literature, articles, and design catalogues to create a list of localization methods for global brands when designing their spaces around the world. The chapter argues that localization can lead to social and cultural sustainability by promoting community engagement, preserving local cultures, and reducing environmental impact. The findings suggest that localization in interior design can lead to a more sustainable and inclusive approach to design, while also promoting cultural diversity and community resilience. To address this, a variety of localization methods were identified and compiled to create a creative toolkit. This chapter provides insights into the importance of localization methods in the design process and offers a practical approach to implementing these methods.

摘要
