Collaboration of Culture Social Structure and Community Engagement for Recovering the Tourism Industry in Nusa Dua Bali After the COVID-19 Pandemic
摘要
The COVID-19 pandemic has had a huge impact on the tourism industry in Bali. Nusa Dua, which serves as the elite tourism destination in Bali and is managed by the central government, has tried to survive and adjust to the effects of the pandemic. This research aims to explore how the practice of community engagement with culture and social structure is taking part in returning the tourism industry in Nusa Dua, Bali, after the COVID-19 pandemic to help the community. Using the qualitative approach and case study method, the data collection techniques included interviews and focus group discussions (FGD) with the Nusa Dua community and government officers from the Tourism Institution (ITDC. The function of the public relations concept is to analyse the concept and data. As a result, though the government owns the land in the Nusa Dua area and has the authority to rent it to a third party, community engagement programs have been developed over the years to help the economic conditions and have a good relationship with the community to ensure there will be no damage done by the local inhabitants to its clients. With the adverse impact given by the pandemic on the community, the government continues to help them by delivering digital marketing training for the traditional entrepreneurs in Nusa Dua Bali who have joined the community group based on the culture village division and regulation. The training will support the community's ability to survive during and after the pandemic, where technology has influenced the whole world's systems, lifestyles, and perspectives.
