Existing reviews show that financial viability is an important aspect for the long-term success of such projects. For example, partially financing the public transit system with the revenue gained from parcel transportation may contribute to the success of a shared transport system from the point of view of public transit providers. This work conceptualizes an agent-based simulation model to evaluate business schemes for an integrated passenger and freight urban transport system.
