Advances in modern arthroscopy have contributed significantly to greater efficacy and flexibility in managing a wide variety of shoulder pathologies. Over the years, many techniques have been developed to address these pathologies, including the use of autografts or allografts. Nowadays, the biceps autograft technique is gaining acceptance among shoulder surgeons for its advantages, including not only because that biceps is available in most patients, but also because it is relatively easy to harvest during the same arthroscopic procedure. To date, it has been used as an augmentation graft during rotator cuff repair, for superior capsular reconstruction, for labrum reconstruction, and for dynamic stabilization in anterior shoulder instability.
