It is well known that adjoint estimates serve as one of the main tools in the sensitivity study of dispersion models with respect to variations in their parameters, as well as in the development of optimal strategies for controlling pollutant emissions (Skiba and Parra-Guevara in Int J Appl Math 25:675–710, 2012, [1]). In this chapter, some applications of direct and adjoint estimates are considered.

摘要

It is well known that adjoint estimates serve as one of the main tools in the sensitivity study of dispersion models with respect to variations in their parameters, as well as in the development of optimal strategies for controlling pollutant emissions (Skiba and Parra-Guevara in Int J Appl Math 25:675–710, 2012, [1]). In this chapter, some applications of direct and adjoint estimates are considered.
