Induratio penis plastica (IPP) or Peyronie’s disease (PD) is a condition characterized by the formation of fibrotic lesions, or plaques, in the tunica albuginea of the corpora cavernosa. This condition can be associated with pain during erections and intercourse, deformity, loss of penile size, and worsening of the quality of erections and therefore can have a significant negative impact on overall quality of life and patient’s self esteem. The purpose of this manuscript is to describe the key features of this condition, and to provide a diagnostic and therapeutic flow chart based on the current guidelines published in the litera ture.
