Complications in Laparoscopic Surgery
摘要
In recent years, laparoscopic surgery has remained a cornerstone of minimally invasive urologic procedures, continuously advancing with improvements in technique and technology. This approach offers distinct advantages over open surgery, including reduced perioperative morbidity, shorter hospital stays, and faster convalescence. However, laparoscopic surgery also presents unique challenges. The learning curve for these procedures is steep, and several technical pitfalls can complicate their execution. Even for experienced open surgeons, transitioning to the endoscopic technique requires adaptation to new visual and tactile limitations. Understanding these challenges and potential complications is essential for optimizing patient outcomes and ensuring the safe and effective application of laparoscopic surgery in urology.
