We have seen in Sect. 5.1 that stable resonators exhibit large Gaussian beam radii if the resonator length is large or the g-parameters of the two mirrors are chosen close to a stability limit in the g-diagram. In both cases a large fundamental mode volumeMode volume and, consequently, a high efficiency are obtained.
