Global Insights on the Motivating Impact of Servant Leadership in the Post-pandemic Era
摘要
Building on their previous study from 2021 exploring the views of global citizens on the potential importance of servant leadership in the hypothesized post-pandemic era, the authors updated their research analysis in the “real post-pandemic era.” The purpose of this new study is to explore global insights on servant leadership now that we are in the actual post-pandemic era with the hypothesis being that citizens will view servant leadership as being more important. The authors also tackle a new question around the motivating impact of servant leadership, seeking to explore the motivating impact of servant leadership on global citizens personally using traits identified in the Servant Leadership Questionnaire. Theoretical grounding is provided through a comprehensive literature review on the topics (and related intersections) of servant leadership, pandemic-era leadership, and leadership and motivation. A thematic overview of the “Leadership and Motivation” section of the Encyclopedia of Leadership and Change is also included.
