Goal 3: Good Health and Well-Being – The Case of Danone
摘要
Over the past two decades, significant progress has been made in global health, yet the pace of development must accelerate, particularly in regions bearing the heaviest disease burden. Each year, 41 million people succumb to non-communicable diseases, highlighting the urgent need for strengthened prevention and treatment strategies (Bigna & Noubiap, 2019). Equally critical is the focus on maternal, new-born, and child health, as these areas remain key indicators of overall healthcare progress. Moreover, given that malnutrition is the leading contributor to disease worldwide, addressing food security and nutrition must be a priority. Businesses and organisations have a vital role to play in fostering access to nutritious, sustainable diets, ensuring that all individuals—regardless of socioeconomic status—can maintain adequate nourishment and overall well-being (UN’s SDGs, 2020).
