Immunometabolic Responses upon Bacterial Infections
摘要
Immunometabolism—the intersection of immune signaling and metabolic regulation—has emerged as a critical field in understanding host–pathogen interactions. During bacterial infections, immune cells undergo profound metabolic reprogramming that not only fuels their defensive functions but also shapes the outcome of infection. This chapter explores the dynamic and reciprocal relationship between bacterial pathogens and host immunometabolic responses, highlighting how metabolic shifts in immune cells influence pathogen survival, inflammation, and disease progression.
