AN IoT Based Smart Healthcare Gadget: Attempt to Promote the Idea of Smart Healthcare System

With increasing physical and mental workload, nowadays people often turn a blind eye towards their health. They try to avoid long waiting lines at the hospitals, these time constraints and negligence of common people are one of the major reasons for late diagnosis of major health related issues. In order to make lives a bit easier and comfortable a shift from old methodology to a new and advanced method of basic check-ups is needed. This system of smart and remote health monitoring devices will help patients during the times of critical situations such as cardiac arrest, when it’s not possible to predict the symptoms beforehand and take necessary actions. To overcome such limitations a smart healthcare system needs to be implemented which majorly works as an application of IoT. This paper gives an insight into the advancements which have already been achieved in the field of smart health care systems and focuses on its implementation at a very easy level so that everyone can access and use it. This implementation includes the idea of creating a smart health gear consisting of various sensors such as temperature, heartbeat, BP monitoring device etc. embedded into a single device. This device constantly monitors a patient’s vitals and in case of any alarming signals will generate an automatic signal(in the form of message) which will be directly delivered to the concerned medical experts. Creation of such a remote and efficient device will be a revolutionary step in the field of healthcare which will ensure accurate and timely diagnosis without going to a hospital.
