Throughout the years, the Paralympics has confronted deeply entrenched stereotypes concerning disability and the equitable participation of individuals with disabilities in sports. While the Paralympics has successfully established a platform for individuals with disabilities to engage in their passion for sports, the barriers and challenges faced by many of these athletes cannot be disregarded. Consequently, this entry aims to highlight the primary challenges faced by these athletes, along with recommendations on how to enhance their participation in sports.
