Regular schools with inclusive education are the most effective way of combatting discriminatory attitudes, creating welcoming communities, and building an inclusive society with equal opportunities for all. However, despite many efforts to promote inclusivity, significant challenges and obstacles remain. This chapter highlights the barriers to inclusive education, followed by recommendations on how to facilitate a shift from a segregated system of education to a more inclusive general education system that is equal for all.
