COVID-19’s Impact on Disabilities in Chronic Lung Disease Patients
摘要
The COVID-19 pandemic is characterized not only by acute infection and respiratory failure but also by long-term complications. This entry examines the impact of COVID-19 on patients with chronic lung disease and summarizes studies on long-term functional impairments and disability in these individuals. Literature reviews reveal that COVID-19 further deteriorates respiratory functions in individuals with chronic lung disease and increases the risk of physical disability. Persistent functional losses are observed in these individuals due to post-COVID syndrome, which significantly reduces their quality of life.
