Autistic People, Religion, and Spirituality
摘要
The spiritual and religious lives of autistic people have remained a small but growing area of research in recent years. This entry explores autistic people, religion, and spirituality. The nebulous nature of key terms such as religiousness and spirituality is examined. Two main points form the content of this entry; autistic people and religiousness, and autistic people’s experiences in religious and spiritual groups. The nuanced and varying nature of autistic people’s religiousness and experiences within religious and spiritual groups is examined. Furthermore, the Christian-centric nature of findings to date is explored.
