Anal Fistula-Cutting Seton Placement
摘要
Anal fistula can be managed by encirclement of the sphincter overlying the fistula tract with a braided suture tied with enough tension to slowly cut through the muscle. In theory, slow muscle division as the seton becomes more superficial allows for the formation of a fibrotic tract that causes less muscle separation than if a primary fistulotomy was performed.
