Colostomy Prolapse
摘要
Colostomy prolapse occurs when the everted full thickness of the bowel wall protrudes from the ostomy site. Predisposing factors include increased abdominal pressure and mesocolon redundancy. Indications for repair include pouch leakage, incarceration, recurrent trauma, bleeding, and unacceptable body image. Surgical options include colostomy closure, stoma translocation, and excision of redundant colon.
