Abdominal compartment syndrome may be defined as an intra-abdominal pressure above 20 mmHg with evidence of organ dysfunction/failure requiring invasive measures. Monitoring is done by measuring bladder pressures via Foley catheter. Following abdominal decompression, abdominal closure may be achieved using biologic mesh. Skin closure can be done with dental rolls.
