Blue Rubber Bleb Nevus Syndrome

Blue rubber bleb nevus syndrome (BRBNS) is characterized by multiple nevi affecting the skin and gastrointestinal tract. Gastrointestinal tract blebs can appear from the mouth to the anus and are a cause of bleeding, iron deficiency anemia, diarrhea, volvulus, intestinal infarction, intussusception, rectal prolapse, and airway compromise. Concurrent arteriovenous malformations (AVMs) may be seen.
