Selected Material Parameters
摘要
This chapter provides information on the properties of first-hand wood-based panels, with a focus on aspects and relationships not covered in the relevant standards—specifically, information that is not included in Chapter 4 of this handbook. It also presents valuable data regarding adhesives and coatings. The chapter covers the rigidity of various timber connection types, such as glued, nailed, and dowelled joints, as well as the impact of load duration in timber construction. Additionally, correction factors for both static and dynamic flexural behaviour are discussed. Special attention is given to the ageing of wood and glued wood. Finally, the chapter includes information on other natural fibres beyond wood fibres.
