The craniomaxillofacial complex comprises various hard and soft tissues, each crucial for facial structure and function. The anatomical parts of this complex have been studied widely in anatomic books; however, in this chapter, we focus on the more neglected issues that have to be considered during the regenerative treatments. The alveolar bone, supporting teeth, is pivotal for aesthetics and function, and alveolar bone thickness (ABT) is vital for dental implant success, periodontal health, surgical predictability, and facial aesthetics. Furthermore, comprehensive craniomaxillofacial reconstruction requires consideration of the adjacent soft tissues, ensuring functional restoration, aesthetic outcomes, vascularization, and patient satisfaction.
