Satkhira, the southwest coast district of Bangladesh is vulnerable to salinity intrusion, tidal flooding, waterlogging, storm surges, and cyclones. This district is one of the most susceptible to natural disasters and climate change. The study was conducted to find the correlation between reproductive health and climate-induced salinity in the study area. This study was conducted in four upazilas in the district (Satkhira Sadar, Shyamnagar, Kaliganj, and Assasuni) to explore the reproductive health problems and causes behind the scenario. The study was conducted using multidisciplinary study methods including review, and analysis of long-term climate and disaster data to show the trends of change and disaster; review of documents, strategy, policies, etc.; primary information collection (both quantitative and qualitative) through Household Survey (HHS), Focus Group Discussion (FGD), Key Informant Interview (KII), water and soil salinity measurement from the study area. For quantitative intelligence development, 816 household surveys (204 for each upazila) were undertaken, and for qualitative intelligence, 32 Focus Group Discussions (FGD), and 44 Key Informant Interviews (KIIs) were also conducted. The study also measured the soil and water salinity of the study areas in the Center for People and Environ Soil, Water, and Environmental Laboratory by measuring the total dissolved solids in the samples. The study sheds light on common reproductive health issues in four upazilas. The study reveals that almost all women and adolescents suffer from reproductive health problems. It was found that early or delayed menarche, infertility or compromised fertility (pregnancy), recurrent pregnancy loss, pregnancy compromise, congenital disabilities, congenital abnormalities, low birth weight babies, premature delivery, leucorrhoea, Pelvic Inflammatory Disease (PID), Urinary Tract Infection (UTI), abdominal discomfort, and disabled childbirth are the major reproductive health problems which are related to high saltwater intake.
