Handling Phenomenology of the Undead: Queerness, Disability, and Crip Temporality
摘要
This chapter examines the film Handling the Undead, through the lens of phenomenology and disability studies. Through close study of the film and comparisons with the novel upon which it was based, this chapter focuses on themes of affect and queer and crip temporality on the phenomenology of disability. The ways in which society and family structures perceive and act upon disability are critiqued through the questioning of destructive consequences of affects in the phenomenology of the undead.
