Putting It All Together: PERT in Practice
摘要
Evidence-based medicine is the central pillar of medical diagnosis and decision-making at the present time. Unfortunately, objective data in the field of pulmonary embolism (PE) is lacking. Due to this void, Pulmonary Embolism Response Teams (PERTs) have developed to bring together multispecialty groups of providers to assess PE patients and come to a consensus for treatment. In 2015, the PERT Consortium was established to centralize efforts in PE education, data, knowledge, and treatment. Over the past 7 years, the PERT consortium has supported the development of local PERTs throughout the United States and the world.
