The organization of everyday life in patterns of behavior is a topic that social sciences deal with. The organization of youth life is quite dynamic and moves from changing different subcultural forms to a more fluid development of processes that are organized around separate scenes. This chapter clarifies the way in which several youth subcultures functioned, such as hip-hop, heavy metal, punk, and skinheads, and the way in which subcultures transformed into scenes such as techno and rave scenes.
