In this chapter, basic mechanics of the elbow and its anatomy are discussed. Radiography, ultrasonography (US), CT, and MRI are used to show the anatomical structures and their relationships. Radiography normally is the first step in diagnosis. Unfortunately, radiography and US often do not get the attention they deserve, resulting in suboptimal studies highlighting the importance of proper imaging technique in evaluation of the elbow joint and surrounding soft tissues.
