The liver is the second most commonly injured abdominal parenchymal organ in blunt abdominal trauma. Blunt liver trauma may result in different grades of parenchymal, biliary, and vascular injuries, which are variably associated. For correct patient management, it is crucial to promptly and accurately diagnose these conditions. This chapter focuses on the imaging approach in blunt liver trauma patients and on the related management implications of the imaging features, examining parenchymal, vascular, and biliary injuries.
