Appraisal of Solar Radiation with Modeling Approach for Solar Farm Design
摘要
Solar radiation is an important factor for the feasibility of solar energy systems. Numerous models have been proposed to predict the levels of solar radiation because there is a lack of meteorological data available in the field. On the other hand, the success of such models greatly depends on the climatic and environmental factors. That is one of the major reasons that increases the number of available models. This study aims to determine the most appropriate models for two specific cities chosen in a specific climatic region, with the aim of designing a PV system for maximum efficiency under specific climatic conditions in Turkey, and a comparative analysis of the solar energy potential of these cities in the third climatic region is also provided. It is aimed to extend the analysis to the other cities in the remaining climatic regions of the country and generate a comprehensive solar radiation model.
