Extraction of Bioactive Components from Leaf by Ultrasound-Assisted Extraction
摘要
Plant-based materials serve as important sources of various bioactive compounds (BCs) with industrial applications. To maximize their yields and recover them, various experimental strategies are being deployed. Ultrasound-assisted extraction (UAE), for example, is a sophisticated, economical, environmentally friendly, and sustainable alternative for recovering BCs (polyphenols, flavonoids, anthocyanins, and carotenoids) from plant sources with high yields. Other techniques for extracting BCs include maceration, Soxhlet extraction, hydrodistillation, pulsed electric fields, enzymes, microwaves, high hydrostatic pressure, and supercritical fluids. Ultrasound-assisted extraction (UAE) is a green and efficient technique for isolating bioactive compounds from plant materials. This method has broad applications using a wide variety of plants leaves, is suitable for thermolabile substances and low concentrations, and is useful in research and industry.
