Probiotics are found to be effective against various illnesses and infections. Probiotics in itself should have no pathogenicity, infection capability, side effects, or toxicological outcomes on use in human health. Therefore, it is important to access its safety to evaluate its effect on human health. Most importantly the dosage for the probiotics use for human ingestion needs to be regulated. In this chapter, we described the in vivo models to assess the oral toxicity for the probiotics use.
