This chapter examines the investigation of Candida auris, an emerging human fungal pathogen, in the context of clinic detection and treatment of infection. In the laboratory, we cover the use of the Arabian Killifish (AK) as a non-model organism to understand transcriptional responses to both host and pathogen during infection.
