Untargeted Metabolomic Analysis in the Short-Lived Killifish Using HILIC Ultra Performance Liquid Chromatography Method Coupled to a Q Exactive Orbitrap Mass Spectrometer
摘要
Over the past decade, advancements in liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LC-MS) have transformed untargeted metabolomicMetabolomics analysis. These improvements have led to biomarker discoveries, enabling scientists to deepen their understanding of biological systems in disease contexts. Achieving reproducibility, robustness, and reliable quantification is essential for confident metabolite identification. In this chapter, we present an untargeted metabolomic approach to analyze metabolites in the optic nerve tissue of adult Nothobranchius furzeri, an established biogerontology model that is increasingly used in tissue repair studies. The analysis is conducted using HILIC chromatography coupled with a Q Exactive Orbitrap mass spectrometer.
